The purpose of our Project Manager is to manage full entertainment and platform development projects, working closely with the local Managing Director and Group management, engineers, legal, third parties/vendors and other stakeholders to ensure the development of milestones and schedules for the many moving parts that need to come together.


Other key responsibilities include:

  • Gather requirements and define the scope of the project. Manage resource allocation for projects
  • Develop a plan and schedule, with well-defined milestones
  • Act as liaison, problem solver, and facilitator
  • Manage the communication of progress to senior management as well as core internal and external stakeholders and escalating issues as necessary
  • Develop project documentation and reporting for senior executives and other key stakeholders to facilitate sharing of project outcomes and best practices
  • Setting up gate documents, project timing and budget with help of existing Project Management standards, methods and tools
  • Building project teams, defining project roles & responsibilities, securing resources and leading them to performance
  • Anticipating and managing risks and, if necessary, securing escalation
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Regular reporting of project status to functional Lead in headquarters and close collaboration with steering committee members
  • Meet with clients whenever required to take detailed project scope details and clarify specific requirements of each project development cycle
  • Close projects with appropriate closure processes
  • Contribute to continued improvement in the PMO

The ideal candidate has exceptionally high ownership, excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to work with agility in a fast-paced environment. They would also be insanely focused on demonstrating excellence in service delivery and problem-solving; breaking down complex information into understandable and actionable items.

Other qualifications include:

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree (preferably in computer science and/or engineering) or equivalent
  • At least 5 years proven working experience in leading cross functional projects, preferably in an international environment and in the mobile/web technology sector
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Experience working with Telcos or in a SaaS company managing virtual teams is a plus
  • Ideally working knowledge of agile methodology
  • Excellent client-facing and internal written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of both business as well as technology stakeholder requirements
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project
  • Working knowledge of issue tracking tools (e.g. JIRA) is a plus
  • Preferably PMI certificate or equivalent certification
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English and German, other languages advantageous
